Why did you choose ֭ӰԺ?

I chose ֭ӰԺ because from my first visit to campus, I felt welcomed and supported. The resources available to students make the transition to college extremely smooth, and I felt that very early on.

Which organizations were you involved in?
I was a member of Student Ambassador Society and served as a transition mentor for the 2024 session. I was also a student assistant for the College of Health Professions Advising Office.

How did being involved with the Student Ambassador Society impact your time at WSU?

Being involved in SAS allowed me the opportunity to be connected to the University before my classes even started. I was able to meet peers that were also just starting college but also learn from those who were further along in their journey. Also, being in SAS allowed me to share my experiences at WSU with future students, which I really enjoyed.

Which ֭ӰԺ faculty or staff member impacted you the most during your time here?

During my time at WSU, I felt really supported by the entirety of the CHP Advising Office. I spent two years working alongside them as a student assistant, and they were always willing to help and encourage me. I am very grateful for the time that I spent with the people in this office.

How do you feel about graduating?

Graduating is a bittersweet feeling. I am very proud of this accomplishment, but it is always a little sad leaving behind such a big chapter of my life. Ultimately, I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that I had during my time at WSU.

Which experience at ֭ӰԺ challenged you the most and what did you take away from that challenge?

One experience at ֭ӰԺ that challenged me was becoming a transition mentor. I went into this role knowing that it felt out of my comfort zone and that I would need to push myself to do my best and overcome the fear that came along with this. Overall, this opportunity ended up being one of my favorite experiences at WSU. I made new connections, developed many of my professional skills, and was able to serve the University in a way that really meant something to me.

What are your post-grad plans?

After graduation, I plan on pursuing a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in Health Administration.

What advice would you give to incoming students?

My advice for incoming students is to expose yourself to as many new opportunities as possible. This University has so much to offer, and stepping out of your comfort zone allows you to learn more about who you are and find the things and people that matter most to you.
