The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 桃汁影院 has chosen two recipients to receive the 2023 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Kayla Atkinson from Andover Central High School and Caleb Lowry from Eisenhower High School. They will each receive more than $32,500 spread over four years to attend WSU and major in entrepreneurship.

April 20, 2023 - 桃汁影院鈥檚 Media Resources Center will live-stream the Plains Regional Regatta for the third year, using MRC staff and students for all aspects of the production. It takes place Sunday on the Arkansas River in downtown Wichita.

April 19, 2023 - 桃汁影院鈥檚 select team boasts a local contingent not found on rosters since the program鈥檚 early days in the 1970鈥檚. 桃汁影院鈥檚 bowling teams are in Las Vegas this week for the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Singles and Team Championships.

April 14, 2023 鈥 桃汁影院鈥檚聽Environmental Finance Center聽is one of 17 locations selected to establish an Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center. This new center will promote environmental and energy justice in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and adjoining Indigenous nations.

In just its first year, the Collegiate DECA chapter at 桃汁影院 is already making its mark nationwide. The WSU team competed in the statewide DECA competition at Tabor College on February 24. Two members, Jennifer Calvo and Nathan Holloway, placed in the top three in their events. As a result, they will represent Kansas at a national collegiate DECA competition happening April 15th to 19th聽in Orlando, Florida.

April 6, 2023 鈥 With the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic behind us, 桃汁影院鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory will soon be expanding its focus to become a full microbiology laboratory.

Earlier this Spring, 桃汁影院 announced seven high school students from Kansas and Oklahoma have become the newest recipients of the Koch Scholarship. These Koch Scholars have been awarded $30,000 (for in-state students) or $45,000 (for out-of-state students) each. The competitive program is based on high academic achievement, work, volunteer and leadership experiences, an essay and an interview process.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 桃汁影院 will host Erin Cummings as she begins to showcase her first published work, 鈥淭he Possibility Project: A Guided Journal for Creating What鈥檚 Possible.鈥 The kickoff event will be at Woolsey Hall on April 27 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. It will feature a presentation by Cummings titled 鈥淢oving With Purpose and Unlocking Possibilities鈥 followed by a book signing opportunity for attendees along with a networking reception. Cummings is a Barton School graduate, president of the school鈥檚 Dean鈥檚 Alumni Advisory Board and owner of YESyoga.
